Chanel No 19 Poudre is a new spring floral, tangy and powdery smooth. It’s not a loud scent, but calm and complex, with a whiff of quiet sophistication. It smells vintage to my nose, but in a chic, not old-fashioned way. It grows on me with time – the longer I use it, the more I get hooked on it.
The fragrance feels sensual, soft and musky, with a thick, but not overpowering, powdery note. An elegant Iris opens up and stays as a central ingredient throughout the life span of the fragrance. Poudre is greener than the original No 19 perfume, which makes it relevant for today’s beauty market. It seems crisper to me on a dreary, rainy day. That’s when I enjoy wearing it the most. The staying power is pretty good on my skin, I usually feel the gorgeous veil of this scent all day long and late into the evening. I really like it. But this is not the perfume I want to wear every day. I reach for it only when I’m in a relaxed and comfy mood. And it also has to rain.
