It’s the denim obsession season – bags, shoes, shirts, skirts, shorts and even jewelry made from the popular fabric were big on the runways. So what’s a girl to do if the only thing she likes denim is a pair of perfect jeans? Why, get to the beauty counter, of course.
Bobbi Brown ‘Denim Rose’ Face Palette ($60) is my latest favorite thing. It has a beautiful denim cover, soft and shimmery colors inside, and a mirror that is big enough to do makeup on the go. The palette was named a “beauty equivalent of dressed-up denim”. Let’s see what 60 bucks buy you in this compact:
4 eye shadows (creamy pinkish white, medium cool gray, marble gray-pink, deep bright blue)
1 Pink Rose blush
4 lip colors (medium bright pink shimmer lipstick, medium neutral rose lipstick, bright pink gloss, silver pink marble gloss).
We have nine products altogether in one case, looks pretty good to me.
All the colors in the palette are versatile and wearable, catered for the majority of skin tones and tastes. With just a little bit of imagination, you can create plenty of day and night looks by mixing and matching the colors. I’m in love with the deep blue eye shadow that brightens the eyes and makes them seriously pop when it’s blended together with marble gray-pink on the upper lids. I also love the look when gray shadow is used as an eyeliner, and creamy pinkish white shade is swiped across the upper lid up to the crease. The possibilities are endless.
This pretty little thing fits into almost any purse or a makeup bag, and is very nice to play with, as it has everything you need not to get bored with your makeup look for a long while.
