Lancome 'Nutrix' - pure luxury

Lancome NutrixLancome ‘Nutrix’ Royal Body Cream ($34)

I am a big believer in mixing high-end and low-end beauty products and skin care, you can catch me spending money both at luxury beauty counters and drug stores. Having suffered the whole winter from the dry skin problem, I appreciate a good body cream that brings my skin immediate relief. I love Lubriderm, Neutrogena and Nivea brands from the drug stores, and La Mer, Dior, Clinique and Lancome body care as a more expensive alternative.

When I came across Lancome ‘Nutrix’ I couldn’t help myself but try it. It’s manufactured for very dry skin, as it “instantly relieves uncomfortable tightness and smooths the roughness caused by extreme dehydration”. The cream is based on Royal Lipideum, a technology enriched with Royal Jelly that intensely hydrates dry skin. It traps moisture in, hence the long-lasting softening effect. It’s high-concentrated, so it doesn’t take a lot of product for the skin to feel smooth and silky. The best part about ‘Nutrix’ is that it’s very rich but not greasy; it also absorbs into skin quickly, so there’s no need to wait for it to sink in before getting dressed. It’s not scent-free, but the light and pleasant smell is almost unnoticeable and never clashes with my perfume.

The price may seem steep in comparison to the good quality low-end body lotions, but keep in mind that it’s a 7 oz. jar, plus it feels silky, velvety and luxurious on your skin. Got me hooked.
