Mini Bobbi Brights Palette ($70)
Ladies, here’s something new for you to play with – Bobbi Brown eye shadow palette. Pay attention to the word ‘mini’ in the name – the palette is small, but it contains a whopping 20 shades designed to work with all complexions.
If I were good in math, I would’ve calculated the amount of different eye makeup looks and color combinations you can create with 20 eye shadows; but I’m not, so I will never know. Anyway, there are plenty of opportunities there, from using dark or bright shades as liners, or swiping them all over the upper lids for a smoky eye effect, or simply blending together a couple of lighter shadows on the upper lids to brighten up the eyes.
The quality and texture of the shadows are exceptional, blending takes just seconds, there’s no flaking and creasing, the colors are suitable for day and night – there’s nothing wrong with this product.
I haven’t seen this palette in stores yet, but you can find it on Bobbi Brown’s official site: www.bobbibrowncosmetics.com The price seems a bit high for such a little thing, but the number of shadows did it for me. If you plan to use only 4 or 5 out of 20 available shadows, then you are financially better off with either single shadows or a smaller palette. But if you are into experimenting with eye makeup, you are most likely to enjoy every minute of having this product.
