NeoStrata Glycolic Wash. How did I live without it?

For every woman there comes the time when simple brightening and moisturizing products are not enough any more. To safe our skin from premature aging and development of early fine lines, we need products that include ingredients, compatible with all these problems. The ingredients like AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) that helps reduce signs of aging and improve acne conditions.

Neostrata Glycolic WashAHA is a skincare product ingredient that consists of lactic acid (derived from milk), glycolic acid (from sugar cane) and citric acid (from oranges and lemons). They soften and refine skin by removing its dead cells while maintaining the healthy layer underneath, plus they suit the variety of skin types. A lot of science was involved in the development of this face cleanser.

I’ve been introduced to this product by the company’s representative (thank you, Amy) and loved it from the first splash. NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Wash ($32) is a foaming face cleanser that is gentle, mild and non-irritating. I liked it so much, that it’s on my must-have list now. What made me want it?

Pros:

An easy to use pump dispenser delivers the proper amount of cleanser every time I apply it.

Super-light, foamy texture is soap-free (which to me automatically means non-drying)  and has a pleasant citrus smell.

Tightened my pores after couple of days of using it.

My skin is clearer now, and I don’t know how a breakout looks any more.

Very nice and gentle exfoliator, firms and freshens my skin every day.

Easy to apply and spread all over the face with either a cleansing brush or fingertips.

Clears off blackheads and fights dry skin patches.

Takes off my makeup in seconds.

Cons:

None. I find it perfect.

  • Thanks for the GREAT post about NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Wash, Olga! Did you know it’s also an anti-aging product? Glycolic Acid smoothes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and Lactobionic acid diminishes lines and wrinkles and smoothes texture. Just another perk about this great product!

Amy, thanks for commenting. It seems like the more I learn about this product, the more I like it. I just hope it’s never discontinued, otherwise I’ll be in real trouble.

Anyone who wants to prevent aging, and even look younger, should be using products with Glycolic Acid. But not too much or you will burn! I can’t believe how incredibly affordable they are. Why aren’t they more famous? Why is everyone talking about anti-aging creams that cost ten times as much? I use this glycolic acid wash from Made from Earth, called the “Grapefruit Glycolic Scrub”. After the first week or so, I noticed my skin was smoother. Then I noticed that my complexion was more “dewy” for lack of a better word. Finally, after a month or so, maybe two (?), I noticed that my crows feet are shallower.

People started to tell me I look great. I can see it, too. I look younger! I use Made from Earth PH Equilibrium Moisturizer during the day. But at night, I break out the Grapefruit Glycolic Scrub (more of a wash than a scrub – which i love!). It doesn’t make my skin dry, it just makes it sort of tight. I wouldn’t want to feel that way all day, but while I’m sleeping it’s fine. Oh, and the first several times you use it, expect to feel some tingling. Maybe even do a test patch first. But seriously, this stuff rocks. Like I said, I can’t believe that it’s not a household word.
