Lash Card Disposable Mascara Guard ($6.99 for 10)
Not many people know that this product is in existence. What exactly is this? These are disposable cards that are used to shield your lids from mascara smudges (picture below). How it works: you fit the card’s curve behind your eye lashes while holding it with one hand, and apply your mascara with the other hand. The sides of the same card can also be used as lash separators.

Lash cards are individually wrapped and are advised to be disposed of after every use. If you are like me, and using your mascara every single day, 7 bucks will only buy you a 10-day supply of those smudge guards. Which means that 3 month supply will cost more than mascara itself, provided that you buy your mascara every 3 months or so. Worth the trouble? Not to me. I usually apply my mascara before eye shadow, so an old-fashioned Q-tip, dipped in eye makeup remover, takes care of all the smudges, thank you very much. Credit cards and post-it notes are also known to be quite popular. The verdict: your money – your call, ladies.
