Yves Saint Laurent Blush Radiance ($45)
This is an easy to love blush not only because it comes in a chic pretty compact, but also because of the combination of different textures. Two of the four squares are matte, two are iridescent, and when blended together they create a vibrant wash of color with a touch of shimmer. It reflects both natural and artificial lights, and creates a beautiful subtle glow on cheekbones. Needless to say, I’m hooked.
This blush comes in a variety of colors for every possible skin tone. I’m between fair and medium, so light pink #4 looks best on me. The colors seem perfect upon application, not too bright, just enough pigment to enliven the complexion. The color is buildable, but hard to overdo at the same time. The application is easy and streak-free. Although the blush is not cheap, it completely eliminates the need for an additional highlighter, as it does a good job of contouring cheekbones on its own.
