Best of Grammy 2012 makeup

It was an emotional show yesterday, mainly because of Whitney Houston’s shocking passing (RIP Whitney). And Jennifer Hudson’s touching tribute performance teared me up. The show was nice, both ladies and gents looked glammed up and fab, well, the majority of them. I have a few of my favorite painted faces to share with you today:

Rihanna

Rihanna looked quite demure with her black eyeliner and light pink lips. Both her hair and makeup seemed effortless and carefree, simple and genius at the same time. Just the way I like it.

Adele

Adele made quite a comeback after her throat surgery (yay!). She went for a heavy stage makeup, the one that you notice from far-far away. But it was done in a tasteful and elegant manner. Classic bold black liner, larger than life lashes, and fiery red lips never get old.

Kerry Underwood

Kerry Underwood’s eyes were exaggerated with the help of ginormous fake eyelashes, black smokey eye makeup, and white highlighting shadow on brow bones and in the inner corners of her eyes. Nude gloss helped her eyes stand out even more.

Katy Perry

Disregarding blue hair, although she can pull off anything, Katy Perry’s makeup was very nicely done. Thick black eyeliner and a few coats of mascara make everybody’s eyes look bigger. And I’m definitely buying that light pink lipstick for spring. Love!

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift went for toned down, brown smokey eyes version. The rest of her face was kept fresh-looking with peach blush and lips. Perfect choice for her fair complexion.
