Mario Badescu Aloe Lotion ($15)
I was initially hesitant to try another toner, because I’m always wary about them stripping my skin off the last drops of moisture. But now I’m glad that I gave it a chance. Gone are the days when ‘nobody needs a toner’ rule was relevant. Today many toners/lotions are not only formulated for cleansing, they also focus on improving skin texture and solving various skin problems.
MB Aloe Lotion is not exactly a toner, it’s a mild astringent suited for combination, dry and sensitive skin. It helps to calm down, soothe and clean skin, reduce redness and irritations. It “contains 2% alcohol which will disinfect skin’s surface and remove residue that can clog pores”.
Ingredients: Deionized Water, Propylene Glycol, Aloe Vera Gel, Isopropyl Alcohol, Boric Acid, Magnolia Extract
Recommended to use twice a day after cleansing, Aloe Lotion gives fresh, clean feeling to skin and boosts its hydration. It does contain some alcohol in the formula which serves for preventing breakouts, fighting existing ones and clearing skin off dirt and debris. Aloe Vera Gel with it’s soothing, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties helps heal blemishes, hydrate damaged skin and improve the appearance of wrinkles. Magnolia Extract evens out skin tone and counteracts skin irritations.
The lotion is extremely gentle and mild, slightly scented and feels pleasant upon application. I like how it leaves skin refreshed and perfectly ready for moisturizer.

I like Mario Badescu, especially because he was from Romania
I’m a fan too, and the products work really well.
I agree – Mario’s stuff is great and that was after trying Exposed Acne Treatment.
